WebDec 15, 2024 · I am attempting to remove all remnants of Flash from my system. It looks like Microsoft designated these as part of the OS and therefore they cannot be removed, even manually. From previous notes apparently the "permissions" belong to Microsoft as part of the OS. If you're opted in to automatic updates, it should get updated when we push out a background update, but just manually running the installer specific to the NPAPI plug-in shouldn't touch it.
